ChatGPT Ads go live in 26 more countries as OpenAI widens its ad formats
OpenAI has expanded ChatGPT Ads to 26 additional countries, bringing the total to 89 markets worldwide, and says more than 100,000 advertisers are now using the platform. The update went out in the company's weekly email to advertisers.
A new wider standard ad card is rolling out, using more of the conversation width on desktop. It runs on existing campaigns and creative, so advertisers do not need to change anything to appear in the format. Multi-image ads have also moved into open beta for all advertisers, and creative enhancements are being switched on automatically.
The Shopify integration is now available internationally, extending shopping-linked ad placements beyond its original market. For brands working on being cited and recommended in AI answers, the shift matters: paid placements inside ChatGPT now sit alongside organic mentions, and the wider card takes up more of the response area where a recommendation would otherwise appear.
