Google has added flight price tracking and hotel booking to AI Mode, its conversational search experience, moving the product beyond answering questions into handling parts of trip planning itself.

Users can describe when and where they want to fly and see live prices from more than 300 airlines and travel sites, then build an itinerary in AI Mode or ask it to track prices and email them when fares change. Flight price tracking is live in more than 180 countries.

Hotel booking has begun rolling out in the US in English, with inventory from Booking.com, Expedia, Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Priceline, Trip.com and others. Users pick a hotel through conversation, then continue on Google to choose a room and pay with Google Pay, with the hotel or booking platform handling customer service.

AI Mode can also show the cost of flights and hotels in points or miles, available globally. For brands, the shift matters because AI Mode is now making recommendations that lead directly to a transaction, so being the option an assistant surfaces carries more commercial weight than a link in a results page.
