ChatGPT ad click rates top 1% in four markets but stall near 0.7% in English-speaking ones
ChatGPT ads drew click-through rates of 1.21% to 1.91% in Brazil, Mexico, Japan and South Korea, while the five English-language markets where the format runs sat between 0.6% and 0.75%, according to a Graphite report built on Similarweb panel data.
Brazil led at 1.91%, ahead of Mexico at 1.55%, Japan at 1.53% and South Korea at 1.21%. Canada reached 0.75%, the U.K. 0.74%, the U.S. 0.73%, Australia 0.67% and New Zealand 0.6%. Each market has between five and 25 weeks of data, so the periods do not line up.
The report counts a click against every ad-bearing exchange, meaning one user message plus ChatGPT's reply, pooled across all advertisers in a market. Similarweb supplies percentages rather than exact counts, so the number of users and replies behind each rate is not visible, and a single campaign's CTR cannot be read directly against these figures.
B2B SaaS took 19.9% of U.S. ChatGPT ad impressions from March 30 to Aug. 4 across 1,210 advertisers, with Monday.com the largest. Retail and consumer brands followed at 10.4% across 1,510 advertisers led by Home Depot, though Graphite describes retail and ecommerce as largely absent because product feeds do not fit the chat format. Only Jotform and Resume.io stayed in the top 10 worldwide advertisers by impression share across all 20 weeks to Sept. 14.
