seoClarity webinar: four fixes to get products recommended by AI shopping tools

Ecommerce teams were told to fix how product data reaches AI systems before spending on richer content, in a webinar from seoClarity. Chris Sachs, VP of Value Enablement, and Aris Vrakas, Product Lead, set out four connected moves: make product pages readable to bots, enrich content in shopper language, synchronise feeds and pages, and measure what changed.

Vrakas opened with retrieval. On JavaScript-heavy stores, shoppers can see details that an automated fetch never receives, so teams should check whether core product information sits in the HTML or depends on client-side execution. Prerendering and cached HTML were offered as fixes. Better descriptions cannot help a system that never receives them.

The presenters used socks to show the gap between specification and intent. Colour and fibre composition do not answer questions about warmth, thickness or durability, and a single conversational prompt can combine several of those needs. They recommended tying product attributes to the decisions shoppers are making, and backing performance claims with attributable review evidence.

Sachs warned against running the product feed as a separate project. Anything added to a feed should also inform the product page and its structured data, so that identity, price and supporting details stay coherent when a platform revisits the page. Measurement should span the channels being changed, since an AI mention alone does not establish a sale. On testing, Sachs said the best SEO teams are the ones that obsess about it.
